The Napa Half and Quarter Marathon take runners from Skyline Wilderness Park, through the rolling hills and vineyards of east Napa. This sell-out event is perfect for runners of all strides, and showcases Napa's stunning vistas as runners zoom across the finish line to collect their bespoke medal.

Napa Half Marathon routes

The Napa Half & Quarter Marathons will take you along open country roads through rolling vineyards and hills nestled in the scenic east Napa Valley.

The race will start in Skyline Park on 4th Avenue and head north on tarmac roads that take you through vineyard-lined neighborhoods. It is a 6.55 mile looped course, will the Quarter Marathon completing one loop, and the Half Marathon completing 2.

The course will feature a number of hills with a challenging grade, however, for every uphill there is a rewarding downhill. Hill training is recommended before running this race.

Aid Stations:

Water, electrolyte drinks and pretzels will be available at each aid station which will be near miles 2, 3.5, 4.7, 7.5 and 10. Emergency water will be available at mile 11.5.

Packet Pickup:

Packets can be picked up before race day on the Friday and Saturday before at Athletic Feat in Napa. You can also pick up your packet on race day.

Friday: 10am - 5pm

Saturday: 10am - 4pm

Race Day Schedule:

06:45am: Race day packet pickup opens

07:30am: Half & Quarter Marathon Starts

11:00am: Cut off time and awards ceremony

Age Limit:

Runners must be at least 12 years of age to enter.

Gear Check:

There will be an informal area designated for your items but please leave all valuables at home or in the car.

Toilets:

Bathrooms will be available at the start and finish line, as well as along the course at miles 2.5, 4, 5.2, 8.8, and 10.7.

The roads will be open during this event so please be careful if you decide to spectate along the course. The start/finish area is a great place to cheer on your runners.

Can my dog run with me in the Napa Half Marathon?
No, unfortunately your furry friends are not allowed inside Skyline Park.
Are headphones allowed to be worn during the Napa Half Marathon?
Yes, however, you will be responsible for listening to directions from course marshals and be aware of your surroundings at all times.
Is there a minimum age for the Napa Half Marathon?
Yes, runners must be at least 12 years old to participate in either the quarter or half marathon.
Can I run the Napa Half Marathon with my stroller?
While strollers are not banned from the course, they are discouraged as the roads will remain open to traffic and the race will be run on roads that often do not have a sidewalk.
