Really enjoyed the race in perfect conditions. It’s fast and flat and starting early means that it’s nice and cool for the competitors. Getting the bus from the hotels was great. We weren’t very organised and so didn’t have enough clothes for the start line wait which was a BIG error. It was super cold and there’s quite a long wait between being dropped off by the bus and the race starting. Definitely take lots of warm clothes and then leave them at the bag drop 10 mins before race start. The pacers were super helpful and friendly and the aid stations well stocked. All in all a really great race with a fun vibe and family feel. Thanks to the organisers!

Given that the course is a net downhill it's a great opportunity for a PB. The start is slightly uphill, but after that there's plenty of opportunity to pick up the pace. The free shuttles to the start line were loaded and away promptly, arriving in plenty of time before the gun. Most of the course is on one road, though with frequent groups of supporters and drummers along the way. Plenty of aid stations given the distance, the post-race area was also well stocked with food and drinks.

Really enjoyed the half marathon. Great course and net downhill so you can put a great time down. Loved the support along the way and the aid stations were in good positions too. It was pretty chilly at the start line and with the buses dropping you off an hour before (6am) make sure you bring something warm. Overall a great day out.

Napa Valley was my first marathon, and it was such an incredible experience! The course was well marked, with spectators along the whole course. The wheels came off for me in the last few miles, but still very impressed with the entire race experience.
