Get full directionsFrom Points South:
Take Route 140 South to Exit 2E (195 East) to New Bedford. Get off at Exit 15 Downtown (Route 18 South). Work your way to the right lane. Take the Downtown Exit to Elm St. Limited Free Parking in the Elm St. Garage.
From Boston and Points North:
Take the southeast expressway towards Quincy and Braintree. Get on Route 128 North to Route 24 South. This is a tricky turn-off that occurs on the left side of the highway. When you reach Taunton, (Silver City Galleria Mall exit) take Route 140 South, to Exit 2E (195 East). Get off at Exit 15 Downtown (Route 18 South). Take the Downtown Exit to Elm St. Limited Free Parking in the Elm St. Garage.
From Cape Cod:
Take Route 195 West toward New Bedford. Get off at Exit 15 Downtown (Route 18 South). Take the Downtown Exit to Elm St. Limited Free Parking in the Elm St. Garage.
The starting line in New Bedford, MA is about an hour and a half south of Boston along I-93.

Spectator Info
Being a loop course, the New Bedford Half Marathon is a great spectator race. People will have ample opportunity to watch the race in progress. Spectators can watch the beginning of the race on Purchase Street, walk down Union street to approximately the five mile mark (Rockdale Ave) and then walk back to the finish. See the above map for the course information.
Another place for spectators is at the top of the County Street hill (around the 12.2 mile mark) – from this vantage point spectators will appreciate the make-or-break point for the runners as they near the end of the course.
Many make this trek between the start, the five mile mark and return to catch the County Street hill, then the finish on Purchase Street.
