The Verizon New York City Triathlon is one of the nation’s premier urban triathlons, with a course that wraps through some of the busiest streets in Manhattan. This epic race includes a 1.5k swim with the fast current in the Hudson River, a 40k ride up the traffic-free Hudson Parkway into the Bronx and back, followed by a 10k trek across 72nd St before conquering relentless hills and finishing in the heart of Central Park.

Logistics and schedule

3:45 a.m. – 5:15 a.m. Athlete Shuttles to Transition - Space is limited
4:00 a.m. – 5:15 a.m. Yellow Transition Area Open
4:00 a.m. – 5:40 a.m. Red Transition Area Open
5:15 a.m.- 7:00 a.m. Athlete Shuttles to Swim Start - Shuttle will not stop at Transition
5:15 a.m. Yellow Transition Area Closes - All athletes MUST vacate Transition area (with the exception of relay bikers & runners)
5:40 a.m. Red Transition Area Closes

5:50 a.m. NYC Triathlon Start
7:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Finish Festival Celebration
10:00 a.m. Pro Awards
10:15 a.m. Bike Cut-Off
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Bike Check-Out - Athletes MUST remove their bikes from Transition by 2:00 p.m.

12:00 p.m. Championship, Premier, Age Group, Paratriathlete & Specialty Awards Finish Festival
4:00 p.m. Race Results available on our Results page
