New York City Turkey Trot 5k

Love the event. Did not like how tight the course was. 90%of the race was avoiding other runners going and against flow on a tight side walk.

I had fun. I met multiple interesting runners and had memorable conversations. I met with fellow running friends and had a blast before and after the race.

I would have like to have known how narrow the staging area was, as well as, the course itself. The sound system needed to be louder, because I didn't hear the final instructions to get to the line for the start. Therefore I had to start 36 seconds behind to make it a decent effort.

The course was different from when I ran it in 2016, a complete loop around the Island. This year, it was an out and back, almost like a two lane road, one lane going and one coming. Never-the-less, it was organized well and there was no confusion. From the start to finish, everything was well organized. Bib pickup and bag check was clearly marked. At the end of the race, the distribution of the snacks, water and cinnamon rolls were organized as well. The view from the Island as usual was beautiful. I will run the race again, if I'm in town and there is no conflict.

It's an in and out course, it can get very narrow at times.

The there and back with a tight course was a bit tricky to navigate.

Overall a great experience but I do wish the course had been separated a bit better potentially barriers since it was just an out and back!
