This race honors Ted Corbitt (1919–2007), the first president of New York Road Runners, the first African-American to compete in the Olympic marathon, and an ultramarathon pioneer who ran more than 200,000 miles in his lifetime!

Route information
Start on East Drive south of 102nd Street and head north to the 102nd Street Cross Drive. Turn left to run the length of the Cross Drive, then turn left again onto West Drive. Run south to the 72nd Street Transverse; turn left and cross the Transverse to East Drive. Turn left and head north, past the start.
Repeat the first part of the course (running the length of the 102nd Street Cross Drive and turning down West Drive); on the second loop, run past the 72nd Street Transverse on West Drive, around the bottom of the park, and pass the 72nd Street Transverse again on East Drive. Continue on East Drive toward the 102nd Street Cross Drive and make a final left turn to the finish.

On race day, pickup will be at Race-Day Central in Central Park from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. If you pick up on race day, please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get from Race-Day Central to the start. Bag check will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. If you wish to check a bag, please allow extra time for baggage check and security.
