Route information
The Oakland Turkey Trot 5k begins at Pergola on Lake Merritt. Participants will make their way around this beautiful lake on a flat, tarmac surface, passing sights like the Rotary Nature Center, the Bonsai Garden, the Children's Fairyland and the Oakland Museum of California. Runners will loop around the length of the park before finishing at Grand Avenue.
The Kid's Stompers Stomp is a 200 yard dash on Lakeshore which takes place after the 5k, parents are encouraged to bring along their children.

Run for Wildlife Presented by Oakland Zoo (ages 2-8)
Packet Pickup
Competitors can pick up their race packs between 5-7 pm at 3096 E 10th Street on Tuesday, Sports Basement Berkley 2727 Milvia Street between 3-7 pm on Wednesday, or between 7-8 am at the start of the event. Family members and friends can pick up race packs on behalf of participants.
Kids run
The Run for Wildlife Presented by Oakland Zoo (ages 2-8) is a 200-yard dash for ages 2-8. All runners will receive a free shirt.
Restrooms
There are restrooms available on the northeast corner of the Eastshore Park festival area.
Dogs
Dogs are allowed on the course, please keep them on a leash at all times.
Bikes
Bikes and other forms of transport are not permitted on the course.
Strollers
Strollers are allowed on the course, they should start at the back of the pack and stay to the right when out on the course.
Chip-Timed Results
All participants in the 5k will be chip timed.

Are bikes, hoverboards, scooters, skateboards, push bikes, unicycles or wagons allowed on the Oakland Turkey Trot course?
No, due to safety concerns, only baby strollers/joggers and wheelchairs are allowed on the course. Those with baby strollers/joggers should start toward the back of the start line chute and stay to the right to not impede faster participants.
Where do I register for Stomper’s Stomp Kids Event on the morning of the Oakland Turkey Trot?
Participants can register their child starting at 7 am at the Oakland Athletics tent.
Where are the Oakland Turkey Trot's restrooms?
Restrooms are located on the south corner of the Pergola Park festival area, along with hand washing stations.
