With your feedback, we set out to fully reimagine your urban experience and spent months crafting a fun, fast & social route through the very best of Oakland. We wanted to buck the status quo of disconnected, desolate & lonely course, while also creating a resident and small business friendly course. Lets run together!

Runners will get a taste of Oaklands authentic soul, from the steps of City Hall and Jack London Square to Uptown and Lake Merritt, our course will let runners in on the best of Oakland. Like everything else in Oakland, the experience will never be ordinary and always unexpected.

Run around Lake Merritt and through the heart of Oakland in this popular race. This event is for runners looking for the community feel of a local race. Come for the bespoke finisher's medal, Oaktown running top and a festival with food, craft beer and wine.

    Amazing medal

    Well organized

    • Did the Half Marathon in 2018

I have a whole lotta love for Oakland and it was great to see a well organized event in The Town! From packet pickup parties during event week at Oaklandish and Sports Basement, to a cool shirt I actually wear outside of working out, to a route that explores scenic views of downtown, uptown, and Lake Merritt, this was a stellar event I look forward to coming back to. Did I mention the massive medal and mason jar I took home?! This race reflects the edgy, artistic, and progressive community it runs through.
