We're bringing all the action to the heart of beautiful Yorba Regional Park on La Palma Ave. We've planned a day filled with thrilling activities and races that will have you pumped up and ready to go. Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect at our event: - 🏃‍♂️ USATF-Certified Courses: Choose between our 5k and 10k courses that will take you on an exhilarating journey along La Palma Ave and the enchanting Santa Ana River Trail, giving you stunning views of the natural beauty of Yorba Regional Park. - ⏱️ Chip Timing: For all the competitive runners out there, we've got you covered with chip timing for the 5k and 10k run/walk events. Race against the clock and push yourself to achieve a new personal best! - 👨‍👩‍👧 Kids' Fun Run: Calling all young runners! We have a special Kids 1k fun run for those aged 10 and under, as well as a 100-yard tot trot for the little ones aged 4 and under. It's a blast for the whole family! - 🏆 Awesome Awards: The top male and female finishers in both the 5k and 10k races will receive special awards. And that's not all! We also have medals for the top runners in 18 different age categories. Everyone is a winner! - 🏅 Custom Finisher Medals: Don't miss out on our custom-designed diecast finisher medals for all 5k/10k and kids run/trot participants. It's a race souvenir that you'll cherish forever! - 👕 Stylish Shirts: Participants in the 5k and 10k races will receive cool shirts in adult unisex, women's, and youth sizes. Show off your accomplishment in style! - 👥 Team Spirit: Gather your friends and create a team of 8 or more. You'll enjoy fantastic discounts and have the opportunity to compete in team competitions. There are awards for the biggest, fastest, and highest fundraising teams. - 🎉 Finish-Line Festival: The fun doesn't stop at the finish line! Join us at the finish-line festival for a chance to enter our costume contest, enjoy live music, indulge in delicious food, grab some freebies, and experience tons of entertainment for adults and kids of all ages. It's a celebration like no other! Before the big day, make sure to swing by Road Runners Sports on November 22, 2023, from 2 pm to 5 pm for packet pick-up. The event staging area is at the west end of Yorba Regional Park, just past the softball fields near the 5k/10k start line. Parking is available inside Yorba Regional Park for a fee of $5 per car. You can enter the park off La Palma from eastbound or westbound lanes until 6:45 AM. After that, access to the park will be via westbound La Palma only when the course is clear of runners. Additional parking is available in nearby areas, but we highly recommend carpooling and arriving early to beat the traffic. Here's our race day schedule: - 6:00 AM: Late registration/packet pick-up - 7:00 AM: 10k start - 8:00 AM: 5k start - 8:40 AM: 5k & 10k overall winners announced\* - 9:00 AM: Kids 1k fun run & 100ish-yd tot trot (tot trot first, followed by 1k) Please note that age group winners will not be formally announced. Runners can claim their medals at the awards table shortly after finishing. The top three overall participants are based on gun time, with the first to cross the finish line being the winner.
