Join the fun for the 2nd Annual Race the Peak trail run at China Peak Mountain Resort. Choose from the 1-mile brutal uphill race to the peak, 10k run, Half Marathon, or 50k Ultra Marathon. The 10k and Half Marathon courses will be challenging but beautiful! The 50k race will start with the 1-mile uphill race since this is the first mile of the 50k. All 50k runners will automatically be entered into the 1-mile uphill race and will be eligible for awards/prize money in both events.

How to enter the Race The Peak – 50k, Half Marathon, 10k & 1 mile Hill Climb

Race The Peak – 50k, Half Marathon, 10k & 1 mile Hill Climb routes

1 Mile Uphill Run: Experience all the beauty and pain that the mountain can offer in one grueling uphill mile climb to the peak. With roughly 1400' + of climbing in 1 Mile this could possibly be the hardest mile you've ever attempted.

10K Run: Starting from the base of the mountain runners will gradually climb up and around the mountain then descending back down to the base where cold drinks and food will be waiting for you.

Half Marathon: The half marathon route will be start from the base of the mountain and wind up and around towards China Peak then make its way back down where you'll be welcomed with music, food, and cold drinks!

50K Run: All 50k participants will automatically be entered into the 1 mile uphill race since the first mile of the 50k follows the same route. The 50k route is a 2 loop course. 50k runners will get some awesome swag and have 8 hours to complete the course.

Raceday Logistics

The starting line is at the China Peak Mountain Resort

Race Day Schedule:

6:45 am - 8:45 am - Packet pick-up at China Peak Mountain Resort

7:30 am - 1 Mile START

7:30 am - 50K START

8:45 am - 10K START

8:45 am - Half Marathon START

Spectators

There is a viewing of the start and finish of the course from the Day Lodge deck. Lift Tickets will also be available for $10 so you can take in the amazing views and cheer on your runners from the top of the mountain.

FAQs

No pets please or outside food and drink. There will be food venues open for breakfast and lunch and the Brew Fest immediately following the race.  Remember to bring a change of clothes for the ride home and be prepared for all types of weather conditions.
