The Northeast Delta Dental Race To The Top Of Vermont isn’t only for those individuals driven to train 7 days a week or those blessed with outstanding genetics. This is an event for Everyone. That doesn’t mean the Race To The Top is going to be easy. It’s not. It means this course will challenge you, and test you. But, with enough determination, and a little grit, you will succeed. You will make it to the Top of Vermont, and you will be inspired by your success and the success of all of those around you. So, join us in Stowe, VT on Sunday August 25th, for an experience you won’t soon forget!
How to enter the Race To The Top Of Vermont

Race To The Top Of Vermont route
The course is 4.3 miles long and climbs 2,564 vertical feet on the famous Mt. Mansfield Toll Road to the summit parking lot. The racecourse begins with a .3 mile section of pavement before changing to gravel and dirt for the last 4 miles. The first 2.7 miles is well shaded while the last 1.6 miles opens up with spectacular views of Smuggler’s Notch and the surrounding Green Mountains. The course begins at an elevation of 1,279 ft and climbs to the summit parking lot at 3,843 ft. Racers will experience a steady incline averaging about 11 percent over the length of the course. At the summit finish area, participants will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful views in New England overlooking three states and Canada. There will be two water stations…. One at the 2.7 mile mark on course and another at the finish line. Participants are urged to include extra water or sports drink and food with your warm-up clothes, which will be delivered to the summit finish area. We are prepared to supply one quart of water per person, and we ask participants to please use the water for drinking only and not for bathing. There will be plenty of food and beverages starting at 11:30am at the Toll House Conference Center.
The top 3 male and female racers in each age group will be presented with Handmade Stoneware Mugs. The top 3 overall men and women in each discipline will also receive cash awards of $200[1st], $100[2nd], and $50[3rd].
The age categories are… Under 15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Sunday, August 25th 7:30-8:30am: Late Registration All Categories Late Registration will take place in the Toll House Conference Center at Stowe Mountain Resort (park at Mansfield Nordic Center)
7:30-10:00am: Packet Pickup Packet Pickup will take place in the Toll House Conference Center at Stowe Mountain Resort (park at Mansfield Nordic Center)
9:00am: Race Start RUN/HIKE Runners/Hikers will begin their journey at 9am at the base of toll road. (Park at Mansfield Nordic Center)
10:00am: Race Start BIKE Bikers will begin their journey at 10am at the base of toll road. (Park at Mansfield Nordic Center)
11:30am: LUNCH The post race lunch will be available outside the Toll House Conference Center at the base of the Toll Road
12:00pm: Kids Fun Run The Catamount Kids Run For Fun will take place at the Toll House Conference Center at the base of the Toll Road
12:30pm: Awards/Raffle The post race awards and raffle will take place at the Toll House Conference Center at the base of the Toll Road
