Reebok Ragnar Adirondacks, happening on Sept. 21-22, 2018, is an adventure through upstate New York’s picturesque Adirondack Mountain range during peak fall foliage season.

This overnight running relay race doesn’t stop when the sun goes down (or when the tough gets going!). On Friday, as the sun sinks below the horizon, stars will inspire a sense of wonder. This is when the real fun begins! You’ll have to dig deep and push yourself—and your teammates—to keep running through the night as headlamps illuminate your way and into the sunrise on Saturday morning.

No one starts Reebok Ragnar Adirondacks alone, and no one finishes alone either. After each team member completes their 3 legs (6 legs for ultra), they’ll cross under the orange arch together—tired but triumphant, drained but strengthened— for together they have done what they could never do alone. Mark your running calendar for Sept. 21-22 and get ready to experience The Empire State like never before.

Ragnar Relay Adirondacks route

The 200-ish mile journey kicks off in Saratoga Springs where runners are immediately immersed by the beauty of upstate New York. From there, teams run two days and one star-filled night past Saratoga Lake, the Hudson River, appropriately named Million Dollar Beach (Lake George), up the southern side of Lake Champlain and ultimately to the home of two Winter Olympic Games – in Lake Placid, NY.

Meet the organiser

Are you the organizer? Claim this page

The idea to run an overnight 24+ hour running relay across the mountains of Utah was a lifelong dream of Steve Hill. The dream became a reality in 2004 when Steve, his son Dan and Dan’s college roommate, Tanner Bell, organized the first Wasatch Back Relay, spanning 188 miles from Logan to Park City, UT. Starting small, the Ragnar Relay Series has grown from a single relay in Utah to the largest overnight relay series in the nation. Some call it a movement. We call it Ragnar.
