Route information
Join the adventure, starting Saturday afternoon, at Lake Sammamish State Park, just 20 minutes from Downtown Seattle. Teams of 4 will try to outrun the sun on a 3.95-ish mile loop, relay-style, two times each. Together you will run 31-ish miles, that’s more than a whole marathon! Your goal? Finish before the sun sets.
This course has a mix of packed gravel trail and paved path, making it perfect for runners of all experience levels. So team up with anyone from your running fanatic best friend to your grandma.
This beautiful 3.95 mile course will begin on a paved path running directly along Lake Sammamish. The course continues onto the Issaquah Preston Trail that runs adjacent to Sammamish Rd. At the 1.75 mile mark you will begin running on a gravel trail that follows the Issaquah Creek. Between mile markers 2.55 and 3.4 you'll enjoy a quick out and back as you make your way back to the Ragnar Village. Each runner will run the loop twice and exchange at the Ragnar Village between runs.

What's included
When the Team Captain checks into the race at Ragnar Race HQ they will receive shirt tickets for each runner on the team’s roster. Participants can pick up their shirt at the HQ Tent anytime during the race.

Event day logistics
Check in:
Team captains can check-in to the race at the HQ Tent on Saturday after the venue opens to teams. Venues will open 2 hours prior to the first start time. Race specific open and close times can be found on the race webpage and Race Runner packet. Teams are encouraged to check-in at least one hour prior to their start time. Upon check-in, the team captain will receive the team bib (also the timing chip), a bib-belt, confirmation of the team division/classification, shirt tickets for each runner on the team’s roster, and other goodies.
Runner Rotation:
On a regular team each runner will complete the loop once or twice (**dependent on course distance). For ultra teams each runner will complete two or four loops (**dependent on course distance). All exchanges will take place within the Festival Area. Please refer to the Course section of the website for race specific information.
Spectator Info
Spectators are welcome to attend the event and enjoy the amenities offered in the Festival Area. Please note that any free food or drink options will only be available for registered participants.
