Route information
The course involves a series of 3 loops. Total Course Mileage = 15.70 Miles. For full details, please visit: https://www.runragnar.com/event-detail/trail/atlanta_ga#courseExternalLink
Green Loop – River Trail (Easy):
This first trail loop starts out with a nice flat dirt double-track shortly after leaving Ragnar Village and the exchange area. This trail paralells the Yellow River for a gentle mile and a half warm up. The loop eventually breaks onto single-track as you head into the woods. You’ll have a blast conquering the swooping bends in the trail overlooking the river until you head back into the transition area at Ragnar Village.
Yellow Loop – Olympic Trail (Intermediate):
Do you like Twister? If so, this trail is made for you. This trail follows a large portion of the 1996 Olympic mountain bike course as it twists and turns it way through dense forest and across creeks. “Whoo-Hoo” is what comes to our minds. We’re sure that you’ll love this trail. Just be sure to enjoy this naturally inspired adventurous loop!
Red Loop – Granite Slabs Trail (Intermediate):
This trail starts out innocent enough. The first 2.5 miles of gentle dirt road (and a little pavement) is like the soft click-click-click of a rollercoaster starting its slow initial climb. Cross the road and take that left at mile 2.5 and there is no going back…and you won’t want to. The next three miles are some of the most fun of any course in our series. Buffed single-track, swooping turns, mini-bridges, Yee -Haw! Let your hair down and fly, but don’t forget to breathe.
