Run flat and fast through the streets and parks of Raleigh in this entertaining half marathon. There are plenty of prizes to be won for the speedsters, and everyone is welcome to join the post-race party and share the sense of achievement.

Raleigh Half Marathon route

Starting on Crabtree Boulevard, the route joins Crabtree Creek Greenway at Raleigh Boulevard. Then, you'll head towards Anderson Point Park, do a lap of the park and then return buck towards the finish. The finish line will be just before Raleigh Boulevard.

Raceday Logistics

Race Start – The Race Starts at 8:00am sharp at Buffaloe Road Athletic Park, located at 5812 Buffaloe Rd, Raleigh, North Carolina 27616. The timing mat will remain open for a few minutes for those that don’t make it on time, but don’t be one of those people.

Saturday 22nd February:

  • 07:30 - Half Marathon starts
  • 11:00 - Cut-off time (3.5hrs)

There are a range of volunteer roles required, from Pacing the Half Marathon to Attending the Car Park. In return, you will receive a Sir Walter Squirrel Squad Shirt.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a time limit?
Yes, there will be a cut-off time after 3hrs30mins. If you finish after this, your time will not be recorded.
Where can I leave my bags?
There is a bag check area near the Start/Finish line.
Can I bring my dog?
Sadly, dogs are not allowed on the course.
Can I run with a stroller?
No, according to USATF rules, you may not run with a jogging stroller. This is also for the safety of yourself and your fellow runners.
