Redman 9 miler

Welcome to our exciting mass participation sports event! Get ready to embark on a thrilling 9-mile trail run around the beautiful lake, known as the "Redman," located in the stunning lands once inhabited by the Susquehannock peoples. Our event is proudly hosted by the incredible York County Parks. When you conquer this challenging route, you'll receive special tokens as a badge of honor for your achievement. And if you're among the top finishers, you'll earn premium tokens to commemorate your outstanding performance. After the race, refuel with some delicious post-race food in the pavilion. The trail is mainly single track and will take you on a journey through rolling terrain, with a cumulative climb of over 1,200 feet. As you conquer the course, you'll have the opportunity to crawl through two water-filled tunnels that pass under Interstate-83. The second tunnel, about 50 yards long, will require you to duck your head for clearance. Don't worry, you won't need a headlamp, but if you're claustrophobic or afraid of the dark, we wanted to give you a heads up! To ensure your comfort and hydration, we will have an aid station at the halfway point. You'll find water, Tailwind sports drink, performance candy, and other energy-boosting treats to keep you focused and fueled. You'll have plenty of time to complete the course, with 1.5 hours to reach the aid station (4.5 miles) and 3 hours to cross that finish line. Bib pickup starts bright and early at 6:45am on Saturday morning. Be sure to arrive on time so you can get ready for your epic adventure. During the event, the course will remain open to the public, so let's make sure we're respectful to other trail users. Our goal is to create a positive and inclusive experience for everyone. Remember, littering won't be tolerated, so let's keep the trails clean and beautiful. The registration fee is a convenient $20, payable in cash on race morning. We won't be collecting any fees beforehand in case of any unforeseen circumstances that may require us to cancel the race due to poor trail conditions. As part of the YRR Trail Series, this race will also count towards your points if you're a current YRRC member. And if you're looking to earn a volunteer credit, we're in need of volunteers, so this is your chance to lend a hand and become fully eligible for an award at the end of the year. Online registration closes on Thursdays, but don't worry if you miss it. Day-of registration is available for $20, cash only.
