Route information
The Ragnar Relay So Cal is split into 3 major sections:
Petco Park Premier Lot to Kit Carson Park
Kit Carson Park to Oceanside Harbor Lot #1
Dana Point Harbor to Huntington Beach
Starting at Park Blvd, the Ragnar Relay So Cal will proceed along the coast, past San Diego International Airport, Sunset Cliffs, and La Jolla.
Upon reaching Torrey Pines State Beach, the run heads inland to do a loop passing through Sorento Valley, Poway, runs alongside the I-15, then passes through Black Mountain Ranch before heading back to the coastline.
The race then continues up the coast finishing the second third of the race.
The race continues starting at Dana's Point, the race heads inland through Irvine, turning back toward the coast at Orange Park Acres, and finishing at Huntington Beach.
Legs
Participants can choose to run in teams of 12, or they can take on double the challenge in teams of 6.
Teams of 12 will take on three legs each, teams of 6 will take on 6 legs each.
Runner 1 will complete Leg 1 (5.4 miles, moderate), Leg 13 (4.1 miles, moderate) & Leg 25 (4 miles, moderate), for a total of 13.5 miles.
Runner 2 will complete Leg 2 (6.3 miles, hard), Leg 14 (7 miles, hard) & Leg 26 (7.7 miles, very hard), for a total of 21 miles.
Runner 3 will complete Leg 3 (3.2 miles, easy), Leg 15 (7.3 miles, hard) & Leg 25 (4 miles, moderate), for a total of 15.1 miles.
Runner 4 will complete Leg 4 (5.6 miles, moderate), Leg 16 (2.6 miles, easy) & Leg 28 (8.5 miles, very hard), for a total of 16.7 miles.
Runner 5 will complete Leg 5 (3 miles, easy), Leg 17 (5 miles, moderate) & Leg 29 (9.6 miles, very hard), for a total of 15.8 miles.
Runner 6 will complete Leg 6 (10.2 miles, very hard), Leg 18 (5 miles, moderate) & Leg 30 (2.5 miles, easy), for a total of 17.7 miles.
Runner 7 will complete Leg 7 (4.4 miles, moderate), Leg 19 (2.7 miles, easy), & Leg 31 (6.1 miles, hard), for a total of 13.2 miles.
Runner 8 will complete Leg 8 (11.5 miles, very hard), Leg 20 (3.6 miles, easy), & Leg 32 (3.4 miles, easy), for a total of 18.5 miles.
Runner 9 will complete Leg 9 (4.9 miles, moderate), Leg 21 (2.9 miles, easy), & Leg 33 (4.5 miles, moderate), for a total of 12.3 miles.
Runner 10 will complete Leg 10 (6.8 miles, hard), Leg 22 (4.8 miles, moderate), & Leg 34 (6.1 miles, moderate), for a total of 17.7 miles.
Runner 11 will complete Leg 11 (6.1 miles, hard), Leg 23 (5.1 miles, moderate), & Leg 35 (3.6 miles, easy), for a total of 14.8 miles.

Each of our Race Venues has different parking rules and regulations. Specific info of this sort is also posted to the race web page and race-specific Runner Packet. We ask that teams bring NO MORE than 2 vehicles to the race.

According to the Ragnar Race Bible, your start time will be based on your team's 10k road race pace. Therefore you each must have an accurate 10k Road Race Pace in your Ragnar profile.
