Route information
The course is on moderately technical dirt trails and fire roads. There are some gentle rolling hills the whole way as well as some fun twisty single and double-track trails.
There are 4 races to choose from:
- 35k: 1 whole loop of the reservoir
- Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k: Out and back around the reservoir
Course Markings
The courses are marked with surveyor ribbon and placed approximately every 200 meters along the course. There will be some laminated signs and flour arrows on the ground at critical or complicated sections.
The most important ribbon is the blue ribbon - this indicates that you are going the wrong way.

Post-race
There will be a broad selection of sweet and salty snacks, as well as fruit and a diverse lineup of pre-packaged food options. There will also be some girl items on offer which may include: Quesadillas, Chicken-apple turkey sausage, chicken noodle soup, and a vegan soup option.
Cupless event
This event is cupless, meaning the aid station will not have paper cups available for runners to use. Each runner will carry their own water bottle or reusable cup.
Awards
There will be age group awards determined by chip time as well as top three overall winners (male and female) of each race distance who will receive a custom trophy with the race logo.
The Dead Last Finisher (DLF) will receive an award
There will be age group medals for the following categories:
- 13 and under
- 14-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70 and over

What do I need to bring with me to the Reservoir Dogs 5k, 10k, Half, and 35k races?
All entrants must bring a foldable cup or water bottle as this is a cup-less event.
Can I run with my dog at the Reservoir Dogs 5k, 10k, Half, and 35k races?
Dogs are allowed both within the San Pablo Reservoir Boat Launch. Pups must be on leash at all times. You may run with your dog, but must start at the back of the pack and allow all other runners to proceed before starting.
