Now, it's your turn to create your own story in this historic setting. The swim portion of the race takes place in Rock Hall Harbor, located on the serene Chesapeake Bay. You'll be protected from any harsh winds or choppy waters, allowing you to focus on your performance. The bike course is a dream come true for triathletes. Picture yourself riding on beautiful ribbons of pavement with wide shoulders throughout the rural course. It's a scenic journey that will leave you feeling inspired. As for the run course, get ready for a pancake flat route that will take you through the charming nautical-themed neighborhoods and side roads of Rock Hall, MD. But that's not all! The Rock Hall Sprint & Olympic Triathlons are more than just an incredible race. They are also the USA Triathlon Maryland State Championships, giving you the opportunity to compete with the best and qualify for the Toyota Age Group National Championships. If you place in the state championship race, you could secure your spot in the national competitions. Even high school athletes have a chance to shine. Finish any of the State High School Championships, and you automatically qualify for the Sprint-distance race (as long as you're at least 15 years old by December 31, 2023). It's a great way for young talents to showcase their skills on a national stage. Please note that any state championship occurring after June 1, 2023, will qualify you for both the 2023 and 2024 Toyota Age Group Nationals.
