Route information
The Rocky Mountain Half Marathon is a paved trail run, that starts by running counter clockwise around Lake Estes, it then runs north uphill on Dry Gulch for around 3 miles, before turning left onto the undulating Devil's Gulch for a few miles, which is mostly downhill.
After Mile 8 the course turns left onto McGregor Ave, which is a flat section of the course. It then heads east and heads back to Dry Gulch, before turning back onto Lake Estes Trail and follows it counter clock wise to finish the race.
The 5k is a counter clockwise route of the lake. Participants will have a timed option, or a non timed "Fun Run" option. There will be one aid station around the half way mark.
If you want an extra challenge, take on the Elk Double, where you will compete in both the Friday evening 5k and the Saturday morning Half Marathon. Participants in this event will receive a medal for the 5k and Half Marathon, as well as a third medal for completing the Elk Double Challenge.
