Now, let's dive into what's in store for you on the big day. The Rodeo Beach Trail Run offers three distances: 50K, 30K, and 8K. All races start and finish at Rodeo Beach, giving you the chance to witness the beauty of nature and the remnants of abandoned military batteries. But wait, there's more! On August 10th, 2024, we're bringing you an incredible addition. Pacific Coast Trail Runs will be producing the Rodeo Beach Trail Run alongside our Headlands 50 Mile Endurance Run. Now let's talk about what you can expect as a participant. We've got loads of goodies lined up for you. Every entrant will receive a technical shirt by Green Layer for the Rodeo Beach Trail Run. And that's not all - you'll also get a "Go run a trail." foam trucker hat by Pacific Coast Trail Runs. Finishers will proudly wear a unique wooden finisher medal made in the USA by Trailblazer Awards. If you qualify, you may also receive an "Age Group Announcement and Award" or even a podium award for the top three males and females. Plus, we've got an incredible post-race meal and beverages prepared by Chef Yaku. And don't worry, we've got your memories covered with free downloadable on-course professional photos. Parking-wise, we've got you covered too. Just remember that entrants are not allowed to park in certain areas near the start/finish area. Check out the map on our website for designated parking spots and make sure to follow the instructions. Are you ready for the race details? Let's start with the 50K race. It kicks off at a thrilling 8:57 am and has a sunset end time of 7:57 pm. You'll cover a distance of 31.1 miles and experience an elevation gain of 6,308 feet. The time limit is set at 11 hours, with cut-offs at Tennessee Valley and the Start/Finish Line. But don't worry, we'll guide you every step of the way. For the 30K race, get ready to start at 9:57 am and enjoy a picturesque sunset upon crossing the finish line at 7:57 pm. You'll be running 18.6 miles and conquering an elevation gain of 3,689 feet. We haven't set a strict cut-off time for this race, but we recommend maintaining a 32 min/mile pace to complete it within our ideal time frame. Safety is our top priority, so please note that no pacers are allowed for the 30K race. However, for the 50K race, pacers are welcome for the second loop. If you choose to have a pacer, there is a fee of $30 per pacer, and they must abide by our safety guidelines.
