Route information
Half Marathon
Distance: 13.1 mi
Terrain: Closed roads / Grass
Elevation: Undulating
Route Type: Loop
Though challenging, this stunning course is well worth the undulating ups and downs - if not for the iconic views of historic Pasadena, then definitely for the memorable finish line across the Rose Bowl's field.
The first 3 miles are the hardest, with a gradual hill leading towards the first mile marker and the 'California Climb' at mile 2. Once you've made the turn onto Orange Grove Boulevard however, it's smooth sailing until mile 9, which features a steady decline as you head back towards the Rose Bowl. The final few miles trace the circumference of Brookeside Golf Course, before heading through the stadium's tunnel for that unforgettable mid-field finish.
Though open to runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities, the race does feature a 4 hour time limit and an age limit of 12 years old.
