Run for a Dream 5K and 1M Fun Run

We've got some fantastic news to share with you. The Landon Padgett Memorial Fund is absolutely thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Run for a Dream 5K & 1M Fun Run. It's going to be an amazing morning of fun for the whole family! Now, here's the best part – you can walk, run, jog, or even dance your way through our family-friendly 5K and 1M courses. Imagine winding through the beautiful Bleckley County 5K cross-country trails, surrounded by the energy of fellow participants and supporters. And that's not all! Once you cross that finish line, get ready for a whole lot of family activities at the game field. We'll have incredible inflatable bouncers provided by Big Mike's Inflatables, a coloring activity for the kids, games like corn hole, face painting, and even the chance for photos with Santa. It's going to be an absolute blast! But let's talk about the perks for our runners. When you sign up, you'll receive a snazzy T-shirt, an awesome LPMF canvas bag, sponsor gifts, and of course, drinks and snacks like chips and fruit to keep you energized throughout the event. A couple of quick reminders: No pets are allowed, and strollers are not permitted on the course. Also, make sure to wear appropriate footwear for running on the cross-country trails. We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience. Here's something you need to know: the price will increase to $35.00 after December 1, 2023 at 11:59pm EST. So be sure to register on or before November 14th to guarantee yourself a shirt at the event. If you register after November 14th, don't worry, we'll mail your T-shirt to you after the event. Online registration is open until 11:59PM on December 1, 2023. We wouldn't want you to miss out, so make sure to secure your spot before the deadline. We understand that not everyone can make it to Cochran, but we've got you covered. We have a virtual runner option for those who still want to participate from wherever they are. It all started with Landon's love for running and the amazing work he did as a nurse at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, serving children and their families. Proceeds from this fundraising event will go towards our two programs that benefit the health and well-being of children and young people. Your participation and support will truly make a difference.
