On the night of February 5, 2016, Jenna and her grandfather Mike (Stump) Dale died due to smoke inhalation when their house caught fire. This run is in memory of them. Previous runs helped build the new playground and install electric and water in the new shelter house. This year, the proceeds are being used to maintenance and upgrades of the playground. The race starts and finishes at the playground. This playground is located just a 1/4 mile from where they lived.
