Run the Reagan® is an annual community event featuring a marathon, 5k and 10k race down Ronald Reagan Parkway. In addition, the event features a 1k fun run. This is a fundraising event for local 501(c)(3) organizations that provide much needed services to residents of our community. Proceeds from the road race were donated to the The Brookwood Schools Foundation, The Lilburn Cooperative Ministry and The Southeast Gwinnett Coopertative Ministry.

One of my favorite courses because its challenging! Great atmosphere and the entire Snellville/Lawrenceville community gets involved. Go Brookwood Broncos!

I have lived in the Snellville area for over 30 years and first ran this course in 1995. This race was organized 25 years ago after the completion of the seven mile parkway. Back then they would close the entire roadway for an entire weekend and allow the community to walk and bike at will. Fast forward to today, and they still close the roadway but only for one day. Which is sweet, because the races can begin at a reasonable hour - the 5K starts at 11 a.m.! The local businesses embrace the day allowing ample parking for the runners near the start line. The course is easy to follow. - the only turns are at the turnarounds that are dependent on the race distance you are running. The organizers do a great job of supplying plenty of liquids on the course and numerous vendors and organizations have tents with more liquids, food and other giveaways at the finish line. If you like road running, this is a great event.
