It doesn't get much better to get to run fast along Eugene's beautiful riverside and have mostly perfect footing the entire course. I even got to run with some of the 5k ers as we came back through towards Alton Baker Park. The only thing that could get potentially getting hairy if the race continues to grow in depth is the finish line could slow the pace with the merging of all of the racers from the 10k coming in .. It made me cautious on my approach and I decelerated on purpose as to not spook or cause any collisions. A photo finish would be near impossible in the future if the finish continues to be cluttered.

This was my first time running the EWEB 1/2 marathon and I very much enjoyed the event! The course was beautiful and the volunteers were wonderful too! The medal was ok, but I wish the 1/2 marathon finishers medal wouldve had the event name and year instead of a plain black strap! The medal with the event name and year had a Pelican Brewing bottle opener on it and didnt have actual race on itThe shirt was a separate purchase and for the price of the entry, I felt it shouldve been included! On site, post race food was basically bagels & bananas and the chocolate milk was gone from the 5K & 10K runners! Not a huge thing, but more should be provided for those who are on the course longer! Overall it was a fun race and and it was for a great cause

I really like this race (it's my second year running it). It's well put together and nicely timed in the season. The one thing I would change from this year's experience is the medal. I appreciate Run to Stay Warm's commitment to sustainability, and the functional bottle opener was fun, but since it seemed to just be an ordinary Pelican Brewing piece that didn't itself have anything indicating it was from the Run to Stay Warm after taking it off the ribbon, which was a little disappointing as a commemorative piece. Other than that, though, I had a wonderful experience, and the pacers were amazing. I will definitely run again next year and recommend it to friends.

The event was great - perfect weather, nice fast course. It did get a bit cold at the start so be sure to dress appropriately.

Having participated 5 of the last 6 years there were not any surprises. The path is pretty narrow near the beginning, so the pack is pretty dense for a couple miles, but once the crowd thins out a bit the course is a smooth run mostly alongside the river.
