Route information
The Silver Moon Race at Cass Winery in Paso Robles is designed to be a lap race where participants do as many laps as possible in the race time of their choice, or complete the distance they have chosen. The race consists of a 2-mile lap course that runners will do as many laps as possible in the time of 6, 12, or 24-hours or up to 30-hours for 100-miles. The exception is the 10k does 3-laps, and the Wine Walk does 1-lap.
There is a 10k option for those who would like to run the beautiful course at Paso Robles, but don't feel like running for 6 hours or more. There will be a Finisher's party with wine, food, and live music after the 2 Mile and 10k.
The 6, 12 & 24 hour options allow runners to focus purely on running. Participants are welcome to stop to take a break when they need to, and can sign up either solo or with a relay team. Participants in the 6 or 12 hour can choose to start at 6am on Sunday morning instead of 6pm on Saturday.
Participants in the 100 Mile category have 30 hours to complete 100 miles. The Silver Moon Race is perfect for runners attempting their first 100-miles or for seasoned runners to improve their pacing, training, and endurance. Runners must reach at least 84-miles by 24-hours to be allowed to continue for an additional 6-hours to reach 100-miles within 30-hours. You can sign up solo or with a relay team.

There are multiple routes to get to CASS Winery depending on where you are coming from, below are the two most direct and common ways. We recommend using a map app to help guide you to the Cass Winery address.
From 101 freeway:
Take the 46 East 7.2 miles to Geneseo Road, turn right.
From 5 freeway:
Take the 46 West 56.2 miles to Geneseo Road, turn left.
Follow Geneseo Road for 4.2 miles to the stop sign at Linne Road.
Turn right, in 100 yards is the wine tasing room entrance, in 0.3 miles is the vineyard entrance for participants.
Carefully drive into the vineyard roads following signs to the event and parking.
Parking
Once you arrive at CASS Winery follow the farm road and event signs to the vineyard gate entrance for designated parking zones shown on the map. No event parking at the tasting room.

Camping
It is recommended that you set up camp for the event, to give you a home base during the race. You can reserve a camping spot when registering.
Cut-off time
For those doing the 24-hour race who have reached 85 miles by 24-hour mark have the option to upgrade mid-race to the 100-mile distance.
100-mile runners must reach 85-miles in 24 hours to continue.
The 100-mile race cutoff is 30-hours, runners who do not reach 100-miles will not get DNF, but will have their total miles noted in the results.
Race Packs
You will need to collect your own race pack at the event site.
Facilities
There will be portable toilets located by the race staging location.
Event Rules
Those in the relay can either rotate at each lap, rotate on an equal set of 2-4 laps or rotate on a fixed time ie: 90 minutes.
Pacers are permitted at the event.
Aid Stations
There will be aid stations located at each loop of the 2 mile course.
Gear Drop
There is a gear drop area located where you can check your bag and have easy access during lap checkpoints.
Virtual
Participants can still run in the event virtually if that's more their thing. You will still receive awesome gifts to recognise your accomplishments.

Where should I park for the Silver Moon Race - Paso Robles?
Yes. Event parking will be on the vineyard within the race location. While there is ample parking, depending on where you are coming from it can be a long drive, so we recommend to buddy up and carpool to the race together and make it an awesome race adventure!

What are the camping options at the Silver Moon Race - Paso Robles?
Camping space is available at the race location where you can set up a tent or canopy or RV that can be your home base of the race weekend. Then you can access before the race, on lap breaks, and after the race. Those wishing to camp MUST arrive no later than 2:00 PM on Saturday to set up and prepare. You can reserve a spot with your registration to set up a tent, park an RV, fifth wheel, or camper at the race.
