Route information
Terrain: Paths
Elevation: 2 Miler 18m, 5k 42m
The 2 mile course begins at Westwood Park, with participants jogging parallel to the Big Dry Creek on a path terrain. Runners will turn alongside Standley Lake and run past the residential Kipling Street uphill towards Standley Park. Participants will enter Standley Lake Regional Park before turning around.
This course has a low elevation profile, thus it's perfect for runners of all experience levels. The downhill section beginning at 1.4km provides the perfect opportunity for runners to scorch through to the finish and earn a PB.
The 5k course takes runners out of Westbrook Park, following the panoramic Standley Lake towards Standley Lake Regional Park after tackling a gentle rolling hill on a path surface. Runners will reach Eagle View drive then turn back and retrace their steps to the finish, breezing down gradual hills from the 2.8k mark.
Runners will take in beautiful parkland scenery and the tranquil neighborhoods of Sunstream Condominiums before they complete the course at the start/finish area.
