In 1974, the first Mission Bay Triathlon was as a run-bike-swim-run event on Fiesta Island by the San Diego Track Club. This year, 1600 competitors from around the country will return to Mission Bay to celebrate the triathlon. Bring your kids along to compete.

Kids 7-10yo must have their swimming ability certified (if this is their first triathlon) by a Certified Triathlon or Swim Coach or Lifeguard to register for this event. Successful completion of the swim portion of our Kids Open Water or Prerace Clinics will certify that your child may participate in Koz Events kids triathlons. Parents MUST bring their child's swim certification form ready to be signed to the clinic.
