Spectator Info
Spartan loves Spectators
Most USA venues will require one to purchase a Festival Pass to gain entry as a spectator, so check on the race's specific event page for pricing. Typically, the fee is $25 when purchased on race day. Kids 13 and under are free. There is no spectator age limit.
With the Festival Pass, you get a coupon at registration (redeemable at the merchandise tent). Additionally you will have viewing access of some obstacles, the start and finish line, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds. Enjoy music while watching your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course, from the Spartan festival grounds. Raffles, entertainment, spectator challenges, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks makes spectating all worth while. The next ticket you will want to buy will be a race entry.
Yes, but can I get on the course to watch my racer?
As for roaming the course or watching each obstacle, each course will have different restrictions. On some ski mountains, you can take a ski lift to the top where there will be obstacles to watch. At ALL events, the festival area is situated within sight of at least 6 obstacles where you can catch your family and friends.
My Junior Spartan(s) are in the Kids Race, do I need to purchase a Festival Pass?
Each Kids Race registration includes two free Festival Passes per FAMILY. If you have one child registered, you'll get two free passes. If you have two children registered, you'll still only receive two free passes. There is no need to register these spectators online ahead of time - just show up with your mini-spartans and check in with them at the Kids Race registration line.
What can I bring into the race with me?
You'll want to check the Athlete Guide and/or Event Page for your specific event for any special guidelines on what you may/may not bring into an event. However, as a general rule, outside food and drink, coolers, and tents are not allowed. You are welcome to bring folding chairs, backpacks, etc.
What to bring
  • Beast and Sprint:
  • Your ID
  • Barcode
  • Towel & extra (dry) clothes
  • Recommended: Headlamp and Camelback
  • We recommend dressing in performance gear (NOT COTTON). Think compression tights or shorts and breathable tops made from water wicking material. Wear comfortable shoes that you’ve trained in, but beware, they are going to get dirty. In addition to your clothes, consider fuel when planning for race day. For a Sprint distance you can normally get away with the water stations on course, but for our longer distances (Super, Beast, Ultra) we strongly suggest wearing a hydration pack and carrying energy gels or Clif bars.
What do I need to bring with me to the Spartan Race Weekend event in Florida?
You will need your ID, your registration barcode (print or save your registration barcode to your phone), a towel and extra (dry) clothes. It is also recommended to bring a headlamp and a hydration pack.

Did the Beast - Saturday in 2018
Great event and people. Some of the obstacles a little too simple, but still a great time to push yourself.
Did the Beast - Saturday in 2018
Both race days were great. Trails were challenging & even with the flat terrain you found 2000 ft of elevation Saturday & 1000 ft Sunday. Only improvement would be parking entrance Saturday was confusing. Roads were not blocked Friday so when we came back Saturday to blocked roads cops gave no instructions & no signs from closed intersection. We lost 30 mins & I in our group missed their start time.
