Spartan Race – Jacksonville routes

Jacksonville Super: There’s nothing mediocre about this middle distance race. The Spartan Super offers the ideal blend between distance and speed. Offering racers a true athletic test. If you consider yourself a more seasoned athlete determined to push beyond excuses, you just might have the mettle for a Spartan Super. Serving up 24-29 Spartan Obstacles and 8-10 miles of rugged terrain, the Spartan Super spares no one. Developed as the second race in the Spartan Trifecta, the Super is where you prove to yourself you’ve got everything it takes to face the Beast.

Jacksonville Sprint: The Sprint may be our shortest distance race, but it’s still a favorite amongst both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they can push themselves. Delivering 20-23 obstacles over 3-5 miles, you’ll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement.

Super Distance: 8-10 Miles & 24-29 Obstacles
If average is what you're looking for, then keep looking because you won't find that here. The Spartan Super is designed to test your strength, speed and endurance. With up to 29 obstacles, this race will push you to your limits. If you can finish this race, then you might just have what it takes to face the Beast.

Sprint Distance: 3+ miles & 20-23 Obstacles
Although this is one of the shorter events, do not mistake it for easy. It is a great distance for someone looking to try their first Spartan race.

Kids Race:
Historically, Spartans were tested as children and thats no different here. Spartan Race has two distances for young Spartans depending on their age. So find a race and get your kids involved too.

Kit List

Wear your best performance gear, and prepared to get muddy. If you are running the Sprint then you can probably get by with the in-race hydration stations, but any of the longer distances warrant bringing your own hydration pack and nutrition bars.

Essentials: Your ID, barcode, towel and dry clothes

Spectators

Most USA venues will require one to purchase a Festival Pass to gain entry as a spectator, so check on the race's specific event page for pricing. Typically, the fee is $25 when purchased on race day. Kids 13 and under are free. There is no spectator age limit.

With the Festival Pass, you get a coupon at registration (redeemable at the merchandise tent). Additionally you will have viewing access of some obstacles, the start and finish line, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds. Enjoy music while watching your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course, from the Spartan festival grounds. Raffles, entertainment, spectator challenges, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks makes spectating all worth while. The next ticket you will want to buy will be a race entry.

Yes, but can I get on the course to watch my racer?
As for roaming the course or watching each obstacle, each course will have different restrictions. On some ski mountains, you can take a ski lift to the top where there will be obstacles to watch. At ALL events, the festival area is situated within sight of at least 6 obstacles where you can catch your family and friends.

My Junior Spartan(s) are in the Kids Race, do I need to purchase a Festival Pass?
Each Kids Race registration includes two free Festival Passes per FAMILY. If you have one child registered, you'll get two free passes. If you have two children registered, you'll still only receive two free passes. There is no need to register these spectators online ahead of time - just show up with your mini-spartans and check in with them at the Kids Race registration line.

What can I bring into the race with me?
You'll want to check the Athlete Guide and/or Event Page for your specific event for any special guidelines on what you may/may not bring into an event. However, as a general rule, outside food and drink, coolers, and tents are not allowed. You are welcome to bring folding chairs, backpacks, etc.
