Route description

8-10 Miles & 24-29 Obstacles (Super Distance):

There’s nothing mediocre about this middle distance race. The Spartan Super offers the ideal blend between distance and speed. Offering racers a true athletic test. If you consider yourself a more seasoned athlete determined to push beyond excuses, you just might have the mettle for a Spartan Super. Serving up 24-29 Spartan Obstacles and 8-10 miles of rugged terrain, the Spartan Super spares no one. Developed as the second race in the Spartan Trifecta, the Super is where you prove to yourself you’ve got everything it takes to face the Beast.

—————————————

3+ miles & 20-23 Obstacles (Sprint Distance):

The Sprint may be our shortest distance race, but it’s still a favourite amongst both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they can push themselves. Delivering 20-23 obstacles over 3-5 miles, you’ll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement.

—————————————

Kids Race:

Spartan Race isn't just for adults. Our Spartan Kids Race offers two distances for the little Spartans in your life. Based on age, our Kids races have obstacles in them just like the grown up versions. Come watch your future Spartans run, jump, and play just like they're supposed to.

Spectators

Spartan loves Spectators
Most USA venues will require one to purchase a Festival Pass to gain entry as a spectator, so check on the race's specific event page for pricing. Typically, the fee is $25 when purchased on race day. Kids 13 and under are free. There is no spectator age limit.
With the Festival Pass, you get a coupon at registration (redeemable at the merchandise tent). Additionally you will have viewing access of some obstacles, the start and finish line, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds. Enjoy music while watching your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course, from the Spartan festival grounds. Raffles, entertainment, spectator challenges, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks makes spectating all worth while. The next ticket you will want to buy will be a race entry.

Yes, but can I get on the course to watch my racer?
As for roaming the course or watching each obstacle, each course will have different restrictions. On some ski mountains, you can take a ski lift to the top where there will be obstacles to watch. At ALL events, the festival area is situated within sight of at least 6 obstacles where you can catch your family and friends.

My Junior Spartan(s) are in the Kids Race, do I need to purchase a Festival Pass?
Each Kids Race registration includes two free Festival Passes per FAMILY. If you have one child registered, you'll get two free passes. If you have two children registered, you'll still only receive two free passes. There is no need to register these spectators online ahead of time - just show up with your mini-spartans and check in with them at the Kids Race registration line.

What can I bring into the race with me?
You'll want to check the Athlete Guide and/or Event Page for your specific event for any special guidelines on what you may/may not bring into an event. However, as a general rule, outside food and drink, coolers, and tents are not allowed. You are welcome to bring folding chairs, backpacks, etc.

Volunteers

As a Spartan Race Volunteer, you will ensure that our racers and spectators have an epic experience. Along with a sense of extreme pride and sheer joy from helping out a ton of people you've never met before, there's a lot to gain from becoming a Spartan Volunteer.
Head over to https://www.spartan.com/en/about/volunteers to sign up.

TIME ZONE: Heads up Spartans, daylight savings will be happening during the 2019 Las Vegas race weekend. To help eliminate confusion, we will be operating on Pacific Standard Time during the entire race weekend. The race is located in Littlefield AZ, which is in Mountain Standard Time Zone. Cell phones and smart watches will switch between towers and intermittently change the time it shows without alerting you. By operating on Pacific Time, nobody will miss their scheduled race time. If you are coming from CA, NV, or another Pacific Standard Time state, you will arrive onsite and your clock might automatically jump ahead an hour to Mountain Standard Time, however don't worry, you are still on time. If you are coming from AZ, UT or another Mountain Standard Time state, be advised that you will be one hour ahead of the Pacific Standard Time operating hours. Please plan your travel accordingly. Worst case, you arrive an hour early. To avoid confusion, you may want to disable the “Automatic Time Zone” function on your phone, and manually set the time zone to “Pacific Standard Time” the night before or the morning of the race.
