What Spartan Heat is right for me?
Elite Category: this is a real test against the best Spartan racers trying to climb the table of the Spartan Race Point Series. There is money and potential sponsorship at stake, so it gets competitive. There is a code of good sportsmanship though, and all elite athletes honor the strict race rules and guidelines. On-course referees will monitor the elite heats, and rule-breaking athletes risk being disqualified.
Age Group Category: This category gives you the chance to try the challenge and get an idea of your ranking amongst other people your age. There is a points series for these runners as well, including podiums, prizes, and rankings.
Open Category: Anybody can get involved in the Open Category. From first-time Spartan Racers, to weekend regulars and teams, everyone is welcome. The course will push your limits, taking you out of your comfort zone, but you are under no time pressure to get ranking points or win prizes. Enjoy the experience at your own pace!
Spartan is a leader in the sport of obstacle racing, offering open heats for all fitness levels, as well as competitive and elite heats for those with something more to prove. The first of its kind to feature timing and global rankings, Spartan provides a proving ground for beginner and professional obstacle racers looking to test themselves in new ways across the world.
