Spartan Race - San Luis Obispo - Ultra, Beast & Super routes

San Luis Obispo's Santa Margarita Ranch will host this epic Spartan Weekend, drawing competitors from all over the world to partake in three awesome events. The courses will take you over rolling hills, through sprawling fields, past vineyards and old railway lines, all while in the shadow of the San Pedro National Forest.

Ultra:

In Spartan's longest race, the Ultra will combine the best of obstacle course racing with endurance running to bring competitors the ultimate physical and mental challenge. Competitors will be tasked to traverse 50K of Santa Margarita Ranch's stunning terrain, as they scramble over 60 obstacles in their search for victory.

Beast:

For those looking for a shorter distance but a spectacular challenge, the Beast might be the event for you. 30 obstacles over the half marathon distance of 13.1 miles promises that all competitors will be pushed to the edge of their comfort zones, and blast through their limits as they clamber through the course.

Super:

If speed is the name of your game, take on the Super, which sees 25 obstacles packed into 10K of distance, offering a true athletic test of both strength and speed.

Kids Race:

Spartan Race isn't just for adults. The Spartan Kids Race offers three distances for the little ones in your life. Based on age, the races have obstacles in them just like the grown up versions, and will see your kids jump, crawl, and play their way through the course.

After the race, celebrate in style in the event village, where you and your fellow Spartans can swap war stories over a cold drink and hot food.

Spectators

Spectators can join in the action at the event village with the Festival Pass. With the Festival Pass, you get a coupon at registration (redeemable at the merchandise tent). Additionally you will have viewing access of some obstacles, the start and finish line, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds. Enjoy music while watching your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course, from the Spartan festival grounds. Raffles, entertainment, spectator challenges, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks makes spectating all worth while. The next ticket you will want to buy will be a race entry.

As a Spartan Race Volunteer, you will ensure that the racers and spectators have an epic experience. Along with a sense of extreme pride and sheer joy from helping out a ton of people you've never met before, there's a lot to gain from becoming a Spartan Volunteer.
