Leave your gun but grab your spear for this Spartan Sprint special. This sprint will take you across the fields, dragging you through marshland and forests before spitting you out the other side weary and broken. Come find out what you are made of.

Spartan Race Chicago Sprint Weekend routes

Sprint Distance: 3 Miles, with up to 23 obstacles

Do not mistake 'Sprint' for being easy. These races are designed to test your fitness by putting you through 23 unique obstacles. The sprint is an ideal distance for beginners to test out their Spartan bodies, or for veterans to try and lay down a new PB.

Come down and collect 1/3 of your Spartan Trifecta, and prepare for the next big challenge.

Raceday Logistics

Saturday & Sunday Schedule:

7:30AM - Elite Mens

7:45AM - Elite Womens

8:00AM to 8:30AM - Age Group Starts

8:45AM to 12:45PM - Morning Start Times

1:00PM onwards - Afternoon Start Times

Please make sure you arrive at least an hour and a half before the start of your race to leave enough time for registration, bag drop and a sufficient warm up.

Is there a bag drop at the Chicago Spartan Sprint?

Yes, there will be a secure bag drop and it is possible to purchase an additional locker for any larger items you may be bringing.

What size are the waves?

Each wave will contain up to 250 people in order to stagger the event sufficiently.

How are times measured and where can I find out what position I came at the Chicago Spartan Sprint?

Official timings and placements will be posted online after the event on the Spartan website.

I just want to spectate, do I still need to buy a pass?

Yes, you will still need to purchase a Festival Pass to enter the grounds. This gives you access to food and beverage vendors, as well as great discounts on performance gear.

Will there be photos of the Chicago Spartan Sprint?

Yes, official photographs will be made available (for free) online 5 - 7 days after the event.
