Route description

Citi Field, home of MLB team New York Mets, is proud to host this legendary Spartan obstacle race this spring.

Experience the ball park like never before, racing 3+ miles around the grounds over 15+ obstacles, into the bleachers, over walls and under nets, and smashing the expectations of your limits out of the park.

With start times for participants of all abilities, the event welcomes speed, grit, and limitless camaraderie.

It's the perfect event for the whole family with 1/2 or 1 mile races for the kids, showing them the ropes (literally) to become future Spartan champions.

Logistics and schedule

Adult Events:

06:00am - Registration Opens
07:00am - Elite Men
07:15am - Elite Women
07:30am - 8:00am - Age Group Start Times
08:15am - 12:45pm - Morning Start Times
01:00pm - Afternoon Start Times Begin

Last Heat: TBD (will be posted here 10 days prior to event day)

Starting at 7:00am, waves of 15 racers will be released every minute.

Please arrive at least an hour before your start time to ensure plenty of time for registration

Kids Events:

1 Mile: Ages 7-13
Start times: 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm

1/2 Mile: Ages 4-6
Start times: 8:30am, 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm

Parking:
Parking will be available at the Stadium for $15 a car paid at entry by cash or credit. Parking is located:

Located on the west side of Citi Field in Lots D, E & F. All parking needs to enter through Gate 8 off Shea Road (North side of Citi Field). No parking in Lot G through gate 1 (Entry off 126th St).

Spectators

Spectators will enjoy front row seats to the action from the Spartan Festival ground area within the park. Fans will enjoy watching the participants conquer obstacles and receive their finisher's medal. The festival pass includes a merchandise discount card redeemable at the merchandise tent, access to view multiple key obstacles on the course, finish line viewing, the vendor tents, and hot food for sale on the grounds.

BY BUS
From Queens:
Citi Field is srved by the Q48 bus. Many other bus lines connect with the 7 train, including the Q18, Q23, Q29, Q32, Q39, Q45, Q47, Q53, Q58, Q60, Q67, Q72, Q104, B24 and B61. For more information, please call 511.

From Long Island:
Connections to the 7 train can be made at Flushing/Main Street via Long Island Bus lines N7, N20, N21. For more information, please call: MTA Long Island Bus 511.

From Port Authority:
Connections to the 7 train can be made by taking the E train to the 74th Street-Broadway / Roosevelt Avenue stop in Jackson Heights.

BY BIKE
Citi Field is easily accessible by bicycle and provides safe bike parking locations around the ballpark.

NJ TRANSIT
Take NJ Transit to Penn Station and transfer to LIRR. Citi Field is just two stops from Penn Station.

METRO NORTH
Change for the 7 train line at Grand Central Station. Take the 7 train to Mets/Willets Point Station.

LONG ISLAND RAILROAD (LIRR)
Direct LIRR service to Citi Field is available from Penn Station, Woodside, and all stations on the Port Washington Branch. Those traveling from Long Island or southern Queens on other branches can reach Citi Field by changing trains at Woodside, just a five-minute ride from the ballpark. Participants coming from from N.Y.C. or New Jersey can board any Port Washington Branch train at Penn Station, which is just a quick 19 minutes away on the LIRR. The ballpark is just 17 minutes from Great Neck and 27 minutes from Port Washington.

SUBWAY
Via 7 Train:
Services Citi Field at the Mets/Willets Point Station and makes stops in Manhattan at Times Square, 5th Avenue and Grand Central Station.

Via E F G R or V Trains:
Connections to the 7 train can be made at the 74th Street-Broadway / Roosevelt Avenue stop in Jackson Heights.

Via N or W Trains:
Transfer to the 7 train at Queensboro Plaza.
