Ready for an off-road challenge? Welcome to Spartan Trail. No man-made obstacles here. Just you, the great outdoors and the open trail. Compete, have fun, meet new friends and explore Americas wilderness over a 10k distance.

Spartan Trail is a no-obstacles foot race through rugged wilderness, overseen by legendary race directors from the world of trail running. With a 10k (6.2 mile) race at all events and a Half Marathon (13.1 mile) at select locations, theres a Spartan Trail for everyone.

Course Details

This trail race takes place in Snohomish County, located in northwest Washington State, nestled between the sparkling blue waters of Puget Sound and the rugged, snow-capped peaks of the Cascade Mountains in Snohomish (sno-HOH'-mish) County. Snohomish County begins 12 miles north of Seattle, a little under 100 miles south of Vancouver, and a short ferry ride away from the San Juan Islands or Olympic Peninsula. Snohomish County is ideally situated for exploring the entire Pacific Northwest.

What to wear:

We recommend dressing in performance gear (NOT COTTON). Think compression tights or shorts and breathable tops made from water wicking material. Wear shoes with good traction that you’ve trained in. We have some great trail shoes in our Shop. In addition to your clothes, consider fuel when planning for race day. We strongly suggest wearing a hydration pack and carrying energy gels or Clif bars. Again, train with the same fuel you plan on using during the race. We have all you need to gear up for race day at the Spartan Shop.

Spectators

Bring your friends and family to watch you dominate the finish line and receive your medal!

Your fans will enjoy music, raffles, entertainment, and festival challenges.

Most importantly, fans will receive a front row seat to watch racers from a safe and comfortable Spartan Race festival ground area!

Cost: $20 Online until Friday prior to the Event. $25 on site (Cash Only).

Volunteers

To sign up to volunteer, visit the event page for the race you are interested in. Click on the "Volunteer" section on the right hand side.

If the event is less than a month away, you will see various volunteer shifts and times posted. Choose your preferred shift (you must be able to stay the duration of the shift as listed). You will receive final details regarding the shift that you choose the week of the event.

If the event is more than a month away, you will see a general interest sign up link. When you sign up under this link, you are pre-registering to volunteer and will receive a communication from the Volunteer Coordinator about 4-6 weeks before the event with instructions on how to choose your specific volunteer shift day and time.

We know many of you volunteer to race at the event. Please note that for most events you can expect the follow race options: Build Shift- race either morning or afternoon for either day of the event. Sprint- Race same day you volunteer before or after your volunteer shift or volunteer any day before or following your volunteer shift. Super and Beast- Same day racing is only an option when you volunteer before you race; you may also volunteer the day before or after you race. During registration you will find the race options within the title of the shift and your exact race options will be noted in your Final Confirmation E-mail, sent to you a few days prior to race weekend.

By buying this ticket, you are purchasing an official Lets Do This pass to use with Spartan. You will receive final instructions on how to register for your chosen event in your confirmation.

Please note – there will be a $20 additional charge for insurance, as well as a processing fee (10.5% of registration) once you have applied your code at the Spartan Checkout.

Are there awards for winners?
Yes, Elite winners will receive:

1st Place: $250 + 1 free Sprint or Stadion race entry
2nd Place: $100 + 1 free Sprint or Stadion race entry
3rd Place: $50 + 1 free Sprint or Stadion race entry

Does the Spartan Trail count towards a Trifecta?
No, the Spartan Trail does not count towards a Trifecta.

    What is the elite 10k? Can anyone sign up for this event?

    Hey there, so the Elite Spartan races are for the more competitive racers, the athletes are racing for prize money and therefore standard is much higher then the open category. So if you think you've got what it takes then go for it! All the best!

    What is the elite 10k? what makes this different from the age group 10k? Is this extremely difficult or can anyone run it?

    Hi there. Just to let you know that generally the standard is higher in the Elite races as participants are racing for prize money: 1st Place: $250, 2nd Place: $100, 3rd Place: $50
