This course is run and cycled entirely on a trail surface through Staunton State Park. With steep elevation throughout, it will offer a stern challenge to all teams participating. There are beautiful sections on the route including an overlook area at 9150 feet and the Staunton Rocks Peak at Segment 3 offering notable highlights.
There are 3 aid stations on the course at segments 1, 2, and 4.
There is the possibility of ice, snow, and mud patches at the event based on the weather, so be prepared for tricky conditions.
Mandatory switches will take place between all team members at the 5-mile points of the 20-mile course.
All teams must cross the finish line together in order to complete the event.

Follow the US - 285 and turn off onto CO 83 before taking Staunton State Park and arriving at the starting area.

There are no age restrictions for the event, meaning fun for all the family.
Teams
This is a team race, all teams will have 2 members who will take turns alternating running and riding the length of the mountain course. Two runners and a horse are still offered to all participants, as is the tradition in this event.
Cut-off Time
Cut-off time information will be confirmed closer to the start of the event.

2 aid stations are located at the intersection of Bugling Elk and Marmot Passage Trails, next to Elk Falls Pond.
