Welcome to the Surfer’s Path Hang 10/ Hang 5. This addition to the Surfer’s Path series features a 10 mile and 5 mile distance. The Hang 10/5 courses start and finish in Capitola Village and travel onto the Surfer’s Path, passing many of the world’s most famous surf breaks. The courses enter beautiful Pleasure Point and continue along scenic East Cliff Drive to the 5 mile turn at 25th Ave. The 10 mile course continues on East Cliff to the turn around in picturesque Arana Gulch Park, overlooking the Santa Cruz Harbor. There is plenty of surf music and celebration at the beachfront finish area located in the heart of Capitola Village. Grab some friends and Hang 10 or Hang 5!

**Hang 10
**The Surfer’s Path Hang 10 consists of a 10 mile run/walk. The event starts in the heart of Capitola Village and travels through scenic Pleasure Point and East Cliff Drive, offering sweeping views of the Monterey Bay. Participants continue on East Cliff until they reach the turn around through Arana Gulch Park, overlooking the Santa Cruz Harbor. Following the turn around, participants travel back, passing beaches and famous surf breaks as they return to the finish line located in the heart of Capitola Village.
**The Surfer’s Path Hang 10 consists of a 10 mile run/walk. The event starts in the heart of Capitola Village and travels through scenic Pleasure Point and East Cliff Drive, offering sweeping views of the Monterey Bay. Participants continue on East Cliff until they reach the turn around through Arana Gulch Park, overlooking the Santa Cruz Harbor. Following the turn around, participants travel back, passing beaches and famous surf breaks as they return to the finish line located in the heart of Capitola Village.
The course is managed at a 15 minute per mile pace. If you are passed by the event crew, you will be asked to move onto the sidewalk. Once you are on the sidewalk, you must follow all traffic laws deemed by the County of Santa Cruz and City of Capitola.
There are four course water stations located at approximately miles 1.8, 3.8, 6.2 and 8.1.

**The Surfer’s Path Hang 5 consists of a 5 mile run/walk. The event starts in the heart of Capitola Village and travels through scenic Pleasure Point and East Cliff Drive, offering sweeping views of the Monterey Bay. Participants continue on East Cliff until they reach the turn around at 25th Ave. Following the turn around, participants travel back, passing beaches and famous surf breaks as they return to the finish line located in the heart of Capitola Village.

Capitola Village parking lots are located above Capitola Village and the Start/Finish. Access to Beach and Village Parking Lots 1 & 2 (Upper and Lower) is on Capitola Avenue, Bay Avenue and Monterey Avenue. Parking costs for these lots is $0.50 an hour and you can pay for up to 12 hours.

Registration and packet pick-up will be available near the start line race morning for those who absolutely can’t pick up their race bib/chip on Friday or Saturday. We strongly encourage participants to pick up their race materials prior to race morning. There will be an additional $10 fee for bibs picked up race morning.
