Only minutes from downtown San Francisco, the Tamalpa Headlands 50K is a demanding ultra-marathon with over 7,300 feet of elevation change.
Starting and finishing at Rodeo Beach in Sausalito, only minutes from downtown San Francisco, the Tamalpa Headlands 50K is a scenic tour of Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, Muir Beach, Pirates Cove, and Tennessee Valley.

All registered runners will receive our specially designed Headlands 50K T-shirt and a goody bag. Our T-shirts are created by renowned artist and friend Nick Wilton.

Event day logistics
All runners must check-in between 6:00 AM and 6:45 AM race morning at the Rodeo Beach start area. Bib numbers will be available at check-in.
From San Francisco: Take Golden Gate Bridge going North on Highway 101. Take the first exit across the bridge toward Sausalito.
From East Bay: Take Richmond Bridge and Highway 101 South. Take the last exit before the Golden Gate Bridge.
From North: Take Highway 101 South. Take the last exit before the Golden Gate Bridge.
