Route information
This lakeside course begins on the South side of the Sloan Lake park and takes runners around the entire length of Sloan Lake itself. The course is largely flat and is run on concrete throughout. Runners will travel clockwise up to the North area of the park where a water stop is available for those in need.
There is a slightly raised incline area after the 2nd kilometer, though runners will then enter a downhill section before a short hill section at the finishing area where they complete the full loop of the park.

There is free parking on Sheridan Boulevard and next to the start-finish line. Access Sloan Lake Park after turning onto Perry Street from West Colfax or Sloan's Lake road from Federal Boulevard.

Early Packet Pickup

Participants can pick up their race packs on the day of the event at 8:00-9:15.

There are toilets on-site and in the parking lot.

There is one water station on the 5k course approximately halfway through the event.
Raceday Raffle
There will be a charity raffle with Avanti Safe House and Extended Hands of Hope in Denver on race-morning, please consider donating the following critical needs items: (Toilet paper, paper gloves, non-latex gloves, paper cups for medicine, and gift cards to major outlets or grocery stores). Runners who bring 5 of these donations will be entered into an exclusive race day raffle.
Awards Ceremony
The top 3 Men and Women overall will be recognized alongside the top 3 Men and Women in the following categories: M/F 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. All awards will be given to winners based on all combined waves.
Those who finish 52nd overall and 80th get a special prize in the prize ceremony.
All racers will receive a short-sleeved tech shirt.
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are allowed on the course provided that they are kept on a leash. They will begin the race at the back of the starting line.
Strollers
Those with strollers are permitted but should start at the back of their wave and to the side of the sidewalk.
After Party
There will be an after-party at Joyride Brewing where runners can receive a free pint.
