The Santa Rosa Marathon weekend offers over 6,000 runners from across the U.S. and abroad the opportunity to race through the scenic vineyards of the Sonoma County countryside, the City of Santa Rosa, and the Prince Memorial Greenway. Marathon racers also run through the DeLoach Vineyards barrel room a once in a lifetime opportunity. The flat and FAST course is also U.S. Track and Field-sanctioned and certified, and the Marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

The Santa Rosa Marathon is a fast road race course, a Boston Marathon qualifier, and a beautiful destination race in Sonoma County, California.

In 2018 the Santa Rosa Marathon is celebrating its 10th anniversary and will be marking the occasion with special limited-edition double-spinner medals, race swag and a bottle of DeLoach Vineyards wine for every Marathon and Half Marathon finisher.

The Santa Rosa Full/Half Marathon & 5K/10K routes

The flat and FAST Marathon and Half Marathon courses run through downtown Santa Rosa and along the Santa Rosa Creek trail. The Marathon course also extends into West Sonoma County passing numerous scenic vineyards and running through the barrel room of DeLoach Winery.

The Marathon course is U.S. Track and Field-sanctioned and certified, and the event is a qualifier race for the Boston Marathon.

Overview

The Santa Rosa Marathon races through the Sonoma County countryside, the City of Santa Rosa, and the Prince Memorial Greenway. Finishers receive a custom medallion and a bottle of DeLoach Vineyards wine. Only 2,000 spots are available for the 2018 race so register early!

FAQs

Can I decide to change my mind during the race and run another distance?
You are NOT allowed. As an example: during Full Marathon change to the Half Marathon. You will be disqualified.

Is there Race Day Shuttle transportation?
The Santa Rosa Marathon does NOT provide RACE DAY Shuttle transportation to the starting line on Sunday if you are not signed up as VIP runner.

Are there race time limits?
All Marathon and Half Marathon runners should only participate if they are confident that they can finish the race in seven hours or less. Traffic control, race monitors, safety/health volunteers and race officials will vacate the course at 1:00 pm. Anyone continuing to run the course will be doing so at their own risk.

Course Marshals?
Course marshals will be patrolling and monitoring the course for safety and health, and addressing concerns.

Are dogs allowed?
No pets are not allowed on the Full or Half Marathon course. Leashed dogs are allowed on our 5K and 10K course.

    It was a great event, aid stations were cheerful, pretty easy course and not to challenging, had I done the Marathon I would bet it would be a great first time one.
