The Inaugural Times-Union Half Marathon & 5K is coming to Jacksonville, FL on January 11, 2020 for a fun day of running and celebrating! Whether youre a seasoned runner or a beginner, youll have a blast running through downtown Jacksonville and celebrating your finish in Hemming Park with a huge party featuring delicious craft beer, free food, and live music!

THE HALF MARATHON

This USATF Certified Half Marathon course will run through downtown Jacksonville. Included will be a long stretch on the Jacksonville Riverwalk, which runs alongside the St. Johns River. This course provides 8 aid station opportunities with 2 portable toilets per station.

The half marathon time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

5k

This USATF Certified 5K course will run through downtown Jacksonville. There will be one aid station along the course.

The 5k time limit is one hour.

Are there awards for top finishers?

For both the half and 5k, prizes are awarded to the top 3 men and women finishers overall, and to the top 3 men and women in the following categories: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Awards must be picked up at the red tent near the finish or on stage.
Raceday Logistics
Packet Pick-ups

Friday, January 10th: 11 AM to 5:30 PM
Saturday, January 11th: 5:45 AM to 7:30 AM

Here you will receive your bib and your tech tee. Shirts won’t be mailed out after the event if you don’t pick yours up, so don’t skip out! More details will be posted here as we get closer to the event, so be sure to check back!

FAQs
Can I run with a baby stroller?

You are more than welcome to run with your jogging stroller, but you must start in the back of the corral for the safety of other runners, and for you & your mini-me!

Can I run with my dog?

No, we love dogs but they’re not allowed on the course during the race.

Are the roads closed for the race?

Yes, the majority of the course will be on closed roads. In areas where the roads remain open, there will be coned off areas with course marshals to ensure the safety of all runners.

Are walkers allowed?

Walkers are welcome in all events, but they will need to abide by course closure times (3 hours, 30 minutes for the half marathon and one hour for the 5K).
