Route information
Toughest Mudder is pushing it to the max in 2019 with a full 12 hours of extreme teamwork, stamina, and mental grit testing action from 8pm Saturday to 8am Sunday. Bust through as many 5 mile laps as you can, crushing 20 of the most incredible obstacles ever seen, all in pursuit of our all new awards and prizes. Toughest Mudder is guaranteed to push you past anything you’ve ever experienced before, and this year you can share the glory, if you choose, in one of our all new 2 or 4 person Team Relay formats. Assemble your crew and see if they really are as tough as nails.
Every team gunnin’ for 2 person Toughest Glory in 2019 must complete their first and last laps together with a minimum of 1 athlete on course for every lap in between. Teams can be comprised of any gender. Each team has one timing chip to be carried by the active running athlete. If your team gets separated, we’ve got you covered with your own individual timing chip keeping track the whole time.

FAQs
Q: How does it work?
A: Toughest Mudder is simple - we set up a 5-mile course with 20 of Tough Mudder’s best obstacles. You come and run through the night to see how many laps of the course you can do in 12 hours. Sounds easy,

Q: What is new to Toughest Mudder in the 2019 season?
A: A few things have changed from the 2018 season to the 2019 season. Toughest Mudder had been raised from 8 hours to 12 hours and will continue to be through the night, from Midnight on Saturday to 8am Sunday. We have also added in 2-Person and 4-Person Team Relay categories so participants can run together and crush the course as a team. Age categories have also been added to 2019 in order to see who is the toughest in each age bracket. When it comes to awards, all participants will receive unique finisher medals while the top 3 Female, Male and Team Relay will receive first, second and third medals. Q: Will there be the normal water stations with electrolytes, energy bars, bananas, etc.
ChevronLeft
?
A: There will be one water station for every 5 miles of course. There will only be water provided at these locations. All additional food or drinks needed will have to be brought in by competitors or support crew.

Athletes who wish to run as a competitive team have two options in the team relay category: 2-Person Team Relay or 4-Person Team Relay. These teams can be any gender make-up. The team relay category rules are that 50% of the team must be running together on any given lap while the other teammate(s) rest. More information and instruction can be found in the official rules.
