Tough Mudder – Los Angeles routes

A New Breed of 5K

We’re bringing the party, and the after-party to La la land in 2020. Tough Mudder 5K Los Angeles is popping off just an hour outside the city at Glen Helen Raceway. All the scenic vistas and rolling hills on this epic course prove the left coast is the definitely the best coast. No headshots, no auditions, just a muddy, obstacle packed red carpet bash for you and your crew to crush.

8-10 Miles, 25 Obstacles

Tough Mudder Classic is an epic return to our badass roots in the form of 8-10 miles packed with more obstacles than ever before (25 to be exact). In 2020, we’ve taken innovation to the extreme with 10 new or updated obstacles on every single course for maximum limit-testing, goal-crushing EPIC. You’ll test your limits physically and mentally and cross the finish line stronger than you started, with your fellow Mudders by your side every step of the way.

3 Miles, 13 Obstacles

This ain’t your grand-daddy’s fun run. Tough Mudder 5K Los Angeles is 3 miles of best-in-class obstacles, designed and selected by our crew of genius engineers for max levels of fun and intense teamwork. None does it better than our most iconic obstacle, Everest 2.0, a 13' quarter pipe with a curved top that requires real teamwork to conquer. Bust through the finish line and the party keeps going. Grab a frosty cold beer, listen to music, hang with your new best friends from course, and soak in that sweet first taste of Tough Mudder.

Mini Mudder is a 1-mile muddy obstacle course designed for Tough Mudders-In-Training. Children must be at least 42 inches tall and accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will start times be enforced?
Yes - race start times will be sent approximately 9 days before event day. Start times will be uploaded the week before the event. If you did not receive the email it is because you have unsubscribed to Tough Mudder emails. You may need to look up your start time online.
I bought my ticket the day before or the day of the event – now what?
Simply head through check in with your ticket and visit the back of the Mudder Services tent. Please plan to arrive no later than 11:00am on Saturday and 9:00am on Sunday and we will put you in the next available start wave.
How do I make sure I get the same start time as my friends?
If your team did not register officially through our website, you will not be assigned the same start time as your friends. Teams must have been created two weeks before the event (two Monday’s prior) in order for all members to be assigned together. If you purchased your ticket in Eventbrite, you must have claimed your registration in Active in order to join your team.
What if my friend signed up as a participant after the deadline?
Participants that purchase(d) a ticket after the two week deadline can join an existing team and will be uploaded into the Start Time Look Up Tool by the Friday before the event day. Individuals that are joining a team will receive the team’s start time. Individuals that are not joining a team will be added to the next available start wave.
What if I don’t get the start time I requested?
Only a certain number of participants are allowed on course at any given time to ensure a smooth and safe event. For this reason, we cannot accommodate all requests for preferred times, but will make sure that you and your teammates are assigned to the same start wave and can run together.
Can I run multiple times in one day?
Multiple laps of the event format you’ve registered for are allowed, as long as time allows you to complete the course safely. Head to the standby area at the completion of your first time. You will be let into the next available start wave. If the start line has closed once you’ve finished, you will not be allowed to start again.
