FAQs

Are teams required to finish together? Team members are not required to finish the course together. While we place an emphasis on teamwork and camaraderie, Tough Mudder leaves this decision at each team member's sole discretion.

Will start times be enforced? Yes! Your start time will be sent approximately 11 days before event day. No need to bring proof – your start time will be linked to your ticket, so make sure to bring a printed or digital copy of your ticket and your photo ID.

What does my start time mean? What time should I get to the event? Your start time is the estimated time you will start the course. For example, a participant assigned 8:00am will start in the 8:00am or 8:15am wave.

Can I skip obstacles? Yes.Tough Mudder is not a race, nor is it about getting a better time than other competitors, so it's fine by us if you want to skip an obstacle. The way we see it, you are there to have fun and challenge yourself. If you think a particular obstacle really isn't going to do this for you, just go around it - without a penalty or shame. Anyone who is at risk of our electric-related obstacles (due to medical concerns) or cannot swim (and would have a difficult time in water) is strongly advised to skip these obstacles, as safety is held at a premium at Tough Mudder. Please speak with a doctor before coming to Tough Mudder, as they can evaluate your specific circumstances.
