  • Did the 15K (All three events) in 2018

The trail on the 4k was really slick and crossed a creek bed that wasn't draining well, some runners lost shoes there. The 6k went over a mole laden area which made for unsure footing. The 5k was really nice and had nice scenery.

I knew we would be off road but was not at all expecting the slog that we ran through during the 4k. Dont get me wrong, it was a blast but I anticipated more of an XC course than a tough mudder. The 5k course was more of what I imagined, the right course and serpentine winding of the track made for a challenging yet fun run. The 6k course was great while in the woods and the one hill leading up to the park was a great challenge, the park segment was fast and flat but there were so many mole tracks that along with the wet ground made for a bit of a frustration. Overall, the format of the event was fun, having the time in between races to socialize and prep for the next round was an entirely different way of racing.

I have ran a cross country course in years and had forgotten how much fun they are! Will look for this kind of race in 2019.

Cross country events are not my preference.

Very enjoyable race with varying degrees of difficulty and terrain! Will return for 2019!
