The Ogden Santa Run is the original Utah Santa Run and held Thanksgiving weekend. Followed by the Ogden Holiday Light Parade and Lighting of the Ogden Christmas Village.

Utah Santa Run - Ogden route

This course is a flat looped course in downtown Ogden. It is on the same route as Ogden Holiday Light Parade route. Racers start on 22nd Street in Ogden (near Ogden LDS Temple) then runners run south on Washington Blvd in the opposite lane traffic flows. Runners turn around around 28th Street and comes back up to 22nd Street running against traffic again. Racers then start the 2nd lap but on their way back from 28th Street runners head down 25th Street to finish in front of the Municipal building.

Along the route all the Santa Runners will be given loads of Milk & Cookies to aid the run. Water will also be provided during these aid stations. The aid stations and the course will be supported by Elves or Santa's Helpers (Volunteers). Volunteer spots are extremely popular amoungst families because the free green shirts, hats and ears for these elves.

Volunteers

Volunteers get a long sleeve elf shirt and hat to wear and are set out on the course. Generally they help out with aid stations or helping turn racers or helping at the finish line. We ask all volunteers to show up at 3:00PM and expect to help until 5:30PM. We ask all volunteers to show up to 2250 Washington Blvd in Ogden at 3:00PM. Visit the official event page for more info.

    Where is the packet pick up for the Ogden Santa run?

    Hi there. Thanks for getting in touch. Packet Pick Up on Race Day between 1:30pm - 3:00pm is on the corner of 2250 Washington Ogden Utah. 1/2 Block South of the Ogden LDS Templeis! There is also packet pick up on Wednesday November 27th - the location hasn't been specified but would assume it is the same as the race day. :)

    My first run with my sisters. Wish I knew how family friendly it was before hand, my kids would have loved to join us! Already planning on next year and making it a family tradition. Super fun!

    That was my most favorite 5k yet. I loved that it was a loop.. you got to see all the other Santa runners ahead of you and behind you. Plus since it was on a parade route you had many people cheering you on the entire race. I PR’d! Yay! It was my first year doing the Santa run ever now I plan on doing it every year! So much fun!!

    The race itself was fun, however the email that has the Information, where to pick up the Santa outfit never got to me, luckily my friend’s friend got it, and we able to make it. Aside from that the even was great, the atmosphere was awesome.
