Did the race in 2019
I don't do many road races, but this 10k was very fun. The race was well organized, the atmosphere was great and the course was through some pretty areas. I'll do it again in the future.

The Village 2 Village 10k is held each spring in Mountain Brook, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama. The course lists an elevation gain of 294 feet, but it can be deceptively challenging. The first half mile leading out from the Grand Bohemian Hotel toward Mountain Brook Village is nice and flat. This gives way to the next .75 mile which is mostly gradual hill climb with a steeper hill to conclude. Until mile 5, it is a flat course winding through Crestline Village and around the Country Club of Birmingham. At mile 5, there is a serious hill climb for 0.5 miles. Your hard work is rewarded by the last 0.5 mile stretch where you can open up and glide to the end of the race! Well organized, fun, and challenging. Would definitely recommend to runners looking to complete a 7.5k or 10k race.
