The West Seattle Monster Dash is a 5k trail run/walk plus two Little Monster dashes. The event features a well sponsored raffle, race prizes, costume contests, kiddie crafts, and tons of family-friendly fun! The race takes place in Lincoln Park, boasting 135 acres with forested trails, bluff views of Puget Sound, and grassy meadows. The Monster Dash has become a fall tradition for families and running enthusiasts throughout West Seattle and beyond!

Route information
5K COURSE INFO
The 5k starts near Shelter #1, just northeast of the south Parking. We will be running mostly on trails, running the upper portion of Lincoln park in two loops. We'll run north along trail #6, passing the wading pool and shelter #5. At the north end of the park, runners will turn west and loop around to head south on trail #2, down and around the bathrooms near south parking lot/start line, then back north again for loop #2. Finish line and starting line are in the same location.
It's less complicated than it sounds, we promise! Plus, there will be course markers and volunteers along the route to help with way finding.

The 250 meter dash is intended for our older Little Monsters (recommended for kids age 10 years and under). A short trail run with our friendly, costumed monster leading the way through a 250 meter loop while the runners chase behind.
The 100 meter dash is intended for our youngest Little Monsters (recommended for kids age 6 and under). The Little's chase after our friendly, costumed monster as it leads the way down a 100 meter straight, paved path.

Get full directionsLincoln Park offers two parking lots available first come, first served. The south parking lot is closest to the event space and starting line. The lot located at mid park is situated north of the Monster Dash event space and starting line. Public transportation is also available, here is the Metro transit stop (C Line, 116, 118, 119) located adjacent to the north parking lot.
